Porsche's Top Three Cars

Porsche is one of the most iconic German car brands. Porsche is known for their most famous model, the 911. The Porsche 911 first came out in 1963, and the exterior design has remained almost the same over the past 50 years.  Porsche released their most powerful 911 ever, the GT2 RS in 2019. Porsche is recognized as making some of the best track cars in the world. They are known for the perfectly tuned driver mechanics.

Number 1: Porsche 959

The 959 released in 1986, boasting a 2.9 L Twin-Turbo Inline 6 engine, producing 444 horse power. Originally, the 959 was produced to be a group B race car and only 337 were ever made. At the time, this car was the most technologically advanced car of its day. It was also the fastest street legal car, with a top speed of 197 mph. Another interesting fact about the 959 is that it was never legal in America. Bill Gates, who was a big Porsche fan bought a 959 back then, but what never able to import to America. He helped to get legislation passed that would let people import old foreign cars. The 959 will go down in history as one of the best and most influential cars ever made.

Number 2: Porsche 911 991 Turbo S

The 991 Turbo S is hands down my favorite Porsche. It takes a 911 and makes the car wider, throws on an awesome looking wing, and quad exhaust tips. This beast packs 572 horsepower, and can go from 0-62 miles per hour in a mind blowing 2.9 seconds. These are true hyper car speeds. I can not name one bad thing about this car. If you install an aftermarket exhaust, this thing will pop and throw flames. I was lucky enough to get to drive one of these too. I go to a lot of car shows and car events, and I always manage to get lucky. I got to take this thing around for about 15 minutes and wow: the car was so fast and so aggressive yet so precise. The sound of the Turbos was just insane. At around $120,000 to buy one now, I hope the day comes that I can call one my own.

Number 3: Porsche 918 Spyder

The 918 was built in 2013, and was one of the 3 hybrid hyper cars that was built to compete against one another: the others being the LaFerrari and P1. The 918 puts down 887 horsepower from a 4.7 L NA V8 engine, combined with two electric motors. The 918 can to 0-62 in only 2.6 seconds. I like the design of the 918, but for some reason the proportions and dimensions have always looked a little off to me. There is no denying how amazing this car is. Everything about it is perfect. With only 918 being built, if you want one it, will set you back at least 1 million dollars.
